Paul has been trying to explain Aperture to me. My camera is basically a point and shoot and you can't manually adjust aperture, but I think I did a pretty good job with getting the green shoot in focus and the flowers slightly out of focus. Not sure exactly HOW I did it- but I got the effect I wanted.

The Monkey Tree......after weeks of trying to get a PROPER frame and failing miserably, I was playing with my camera on my phone and snapped -not even looking thru the viewfinder, but looking at my husband and talking to him......and got it. Not framed properly and a bit fuzzy on the top of the tree- but better than what I've been getting!!
Maybe- sometimes- I just need to lighten up, have fun.... and not try for "perfection", eh? Before we leave Haydock, I'm going to knock on these peoples door and ask for permission to take a PROPER shot of it. I think this is the greatest tree I've seen in a LONG time!!!

Snow again. 5 inches and it's still snowing....and melting. How does THAT happen?
If only there had been a Cardinal or Blue-jay or some red berries..... Guess the yellow daffodil buds will have to do for "color".

A bit of whimsey in the kitchen.....
The handbag I bought and blogged about on my very first post. After owning it for a couple of weeks(or so), I'm seriously considering re-purposing it and using it as a camera bag. Every other one I've seen is those butt-ugly green and brown or black canvas ones that look like mini-hiking backpacks. I want something stylish for mine. This bag holds it's shape perfectly as it is, is made from a water-resistant material and with a bit of memory foam I think it will make an EXCELLENT stylish camera bag.

232 Palentine Road.
Viewed the flat- fell in love with the high ceilings, large bathroom, HUGE bay window in the livingroom and the HUGE master bedroom. Took it on the spot.
Was so amazing I completely didn't think to get photos of the inside!!!
We're going to turn the smaller bedroom into the Master bedroom and use the master bedroom as a dining/media room. Rather have room to LIVE, than sleep.
Move in date- if all goes well........April 13.

Driving home from work the sky went from pretty blue with fluffy white clouds and the sun shining-while it was snowing- to being covered by the rolling snow-cloud bank- and it snowing harder..........How awesome was it to catch it on a photo?!?!?!
